My baby girl said her boyfriend wanted to try fishing. I'm always happy to take folks that have never been. He was nervous but had a good time. My baby girl who hasn't been in a long time put it on him.

Good deal. Always great to see the look on a new anglers face when they get that first bite.

Been thinking about this post about the first bass.  I never fished with my dad but I got hooked on fishing  by going to farm ponds with my best friend.  We would have a blast riding our bikes to the ponds usually towards late afternoon until dark after the chores were done.  This was the beginning of my bass addiction and built memories that have lasted all of my lifetime.  We did not have a boat and we did not have a lot of tackle but it was enough to catch some fish.  I guess it became a bit of a competition but as I recall it was more of a bragging rights deal.  We would tell jokes, laugh and just have a good time the way that only a 12 year old boy could enjoy.

It is great to see a young angler fishing with their dads or grandfathers but the real fun was with your best friend.  No pressure just fun and that is the way it should be.  Too bad we lose that enthusiasm as we get older.  Man oh man how I miss those days but cherish the memories that have stayed with me for all those years.  From time to time I still call my childhood friend and don't you know we still talk and laugh about those days.  That is priceless for sure.

Nice vid Dave.  Lots of action and both were rewarded.  I think you may have many more requests! ~c~
