Little did I know that today's outing was going to be so special!

Met up with our UB brother Ralph today. We both arrived almost simultaneously at the ramp around 0 dark thirty.

The water was covering the ramp, and the current was ripping!

We were underway around 0645.

I spoke with Ralph and let him know that our peacock fishing was going to be a little unorthodox and that spinning gear was a must!

Ralph wasn't well versed with the spinner, but in very short order, he was throwing like a pro!

We ran to spot #1, and I  explained the game plan to Ralph. Within minutes, Ralph started catching. Dinks but good ice breakers for what was going to happen later. ;)

Moved to spot #2, and it was more of the same.  Little guys.

Decided to move to spot #3, and Ralph dropped the hammer and began to go on peacock catching rampage!!

We stayed around the area for a couple of hours!

The bite slowed, and we moved to spot #4.
The fishing here was a bit slower until I heard Ralph's drag begin to scream!!

I looked over and caught the glimpse of huge peacock breaching the surface, and Ralph yelling that it was a huge peacock.

I maneuvered the boat over deeper water, and Ralph worked the peacock masterfully.

A short while later, we landed his personal best peacock in the net!! It came in at 5lbs 3oz, and it was our 101st Peacock of the outing!!

We landed fish 102 and 103, a short while later, and called it day!

What an awesome outing! Whew!

Congrats, Ralph!

Thanks for reading!

Congrats on a great trip Lou.  Nothing better than them slamming a bait like a pack of hungry wolves!  Nice job Ralph landing that brute!  Those big ones are special!
