I had to cancel my plans to fish out of my kayak due to the hurricane weather. It wasn't raining yet so I set out to one of my favorite bank fishing spots. Overcast with very windy conditions presented a challenge. I got on a quick topwater bite as they were hitting a popper really good. I stuck with the popper and caught 20 on it. I switched to a spinner bait and caught 11 more after the wind picked up. All small in the 1 to 2 lb. range, no picture worthy fish. Fun 3 hour session.

You can't keep a good angler down. Good deal.

WTG Flats, without a doubt the bite before the storm.  Too much wind with strong bands coming through here.  I thought about it, but only for a minute.  Got a flu shot instead! ~b~
