Conditions:
It was hot!!
Water temps: 84-89
Outside temps: 90+
Wind: Sw 5-10
Current: Yes, slightly
Clarity: slight stain
Bass boated: over 55
Fishing time: 0615-100pm

Arrived at the ramp at 0 dark thirty. Wanted to get out to my spots before the sun came up.

Started on top. Nothing! Hmmm.
Switched to a fluke. Starting catching little bass. Lots and lots, of little bass. Every dang cast. Little bass.
Switched to bigger baits. Nothing. Flipped. Nothing. Frog, nothing. Back to the fluke. Little bass on every cast. Smh.

Moved locations after 3 hrs of hard fishing.

Started on top, activity, but no commitments. Switched back to a fluke. Back to little bass.

Switched to a swimbait. Nothing.
Frog. Lost one of my frogs to big fish. Snapped my line. Don't know what it was. Stayed with Frog, caught a 2lbr. Yeah! Lol!

Switched to prop bait. Caught little bass and some peas.

1pm rolled around, brutally hot, no reason to really stay. So I left.

Thanks for reading.

Lots of action but just what you were looking for.  Nothing wrong with action, much better than no action.  Thanks for the report Lou! ~c~

That's what it's all about. The small ones are there to keep you entertained while you're figuring the big ones out.

Ditto Lou!! Launched off 27 west fished south towards 75, along Alley and south a bit towards Holiday. Non-stop little guys! Did manage a few 2-3lbers. Yes, they hit everything you threw at em! Oscars and Mayans annoying to say the least! Only 3 P's! I quit counting at 50 bass, buddy stopped clickin at 45! Fun day but the heat got to me! Fished 6:45 til 11:15.
Safe Fishing,

Appreciate the mini report Jim. I almost headed that direction too, but decided to fish the river instead. Good news is, the oscar fishing boat brigades seem to have left.

Tx bud! I have been fortunate with racking up a lot of water time. Makes a big difference. These bass are constantly changing their patterns.
