I met a buddy at one of my favorite bank fishing spots in Brevard County. I started with a Super Spook BOYO. I had a couple of short strokes so I switched to a Yo-Zuri 3D Prop bait and also had a couple of fish take a swipe at the bait without really committing. My buddy and I switched to subsurface lures and we both immediately caught one, him on a Trap and mine on a Booyah Mobster Swim Jig. We worked around the pond and caught a few more on the swim jig and lipless crankbait. I fished on the way back by switching to a weedless swimbait. I caught a couple more and lost a couple more as well. Weedless swimbaits work so good but have a crappy land ratio.

My buddy had to go to work so I went exploring on a new pond. It had fish! I caught 4 more on a swim jig including big fish of the day, about a 2 1/2 pounder.

Ended up with 12 and plenty of smiles so I was happy to find another new spot.

Sounds like a great trip. Not being picky because you got to go fishing and I didn't but you may want to edit the date if you can.
Good job on the fish.
