Welcome to our SJHT 8th event of the 2023 Season where SJHT anglers re-opened the NJ Bass Tournament season at Cooper River Park.

Cooper presented us with a little windy conditions, moderated Air Temps, and overall somewhat a mixture of ideal weather.

Let's get to it.

Today, 8 of SJHT finest came out to battle and catch the Tri-Fecta of catches.
Word on the street is that Cooper River has been fishing pretty good lately.  Whether tossing creature baits, senkos, chatterbaits, or even the occassional spinnerbait, Anglers reported early limits within the 1st 2hours.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to Bill *The Hammer*  Leach on winning 1st place and Misceleanous   by weighing in a Bag of 3 Bass going 7.28lbs.  Bill's Misc. Catfish went .66lbs.   2nd Place was won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* Toentino with 3 bass going 6.57lbs.  3rd Place and Lunker was won by the always confident Andy *Trapper* Trapani with with 3 Bass going 5.55 after a .50lb Dead fish penalty.  Trappers winning Lunker went a nice 3.81lbs.

Scott's Schappell 3 Bass Keepers 3.89lbs:

Summary: Can you say Everyone caught a Limit today?  Anglers were culling early and some even improved there fish before weigh in.  It's not often that everyone gets on the scoreboard, but Cooper River Park has that effect especially after the spawn period.  There were alot of Bass caught today. Anglers caught a total of 24 Bass today....giving way to 40.93lbs.
The  avg. weight was 1.71lbs.

Overall....  All 8 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.

Congrats to Bill Leach, Jiggen Den, and Trapper on youur performances.

Next up is Assunpink Lake  in 3 Weeks.

Tightlines,
