I've been fishing so well, I got darn near pompous about it.  Haha.

I fished Clearlake today and it was daunting.  The lake level is so high that adjacent woods and brushy areas were under water.   Short of putting on hip waders, finding a 4-foot fishing rod, it was unfishable.  I could hear the fish glopping the occasional prey "way back in there".   I skunked. Skunked hard.

Humble pie is bitter.  I'm gonna lay off that lake until it recedes a bit, or it get so hot, the fish go to deeper water.  Stumped.

Happens to everyone once in a while, most just keep it quiet.  It just mother nature keeping us humble!
