Went to Lake Oroville on Mar 31 with my friend Carey.  What a tough day.  Started out great with a nich 15 inch spotted bass on an A-rig on my second cast, then another bite a few minutes later that missed.  I'm thinking, "IT's ON" today.  Then not another bite for 4 hours!  We started out on the main lake where the water clarity was good, easily 3+ feet.  Water temp is still cold, 46.7 when we started and varied up to 49.8  at various places around the lake. finally ended up with 2 nice spotted bass 2.25 to 2.5 on a Ned Rig, PBJ Zman Hula Stick just before we came in.  That was it for the two of us.  Looking at my logs for the last 3-4 years, our lakes are about 3 weeks behind.  My records show 56-60 degrees and 30-40 fish days were typical in late March.  I love the rain we have had, lakes will likely all fill up this year for the first time in a while.  But the cold storms and coming snow melt will make for a late Spring for sure.  Eventually it will bust open, can't wait!
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

I guess the one good thing about spring is, it's going to come!

You all have got a ton of water for sure. I don't know that I ever got to fish Oroville with it completely full.

Won't be long...
