2d tourney preview- San Vicente

Sunday is Tourney #2 for CBF District 6 on San Vicente lake/reservoir. Rocky lake with some flooded timber. Lake looks to be 80' Low but they are getting rain now and will get a Lot more tonight/all day tomorrow. I've heard it's a super clear lake (15'+ visibility) so maybe some stain wouldn't hurt! Weather will low 50s at most and some rain/wind to start the day. Sounds almost identical to what we had back in Jan for Pete's sake!

I've switched over to all fluorocarbon for my reels(braid to a leader on the spinning reels) to increase my chances over my normal braid.

Combos are-
2 spinning drop shot rigs
1 spinning rod for shaky head/small swimbaits.
1 Texas rig baitcaster.
1 cranking baitcaster.
1 chatterbait/spinnerbait baitcaster.

Anyways glad to be fishing again and am really hoping to Catch something! 5 keeper somethings to be exact lol! Will post a report after its over.

**update**

Due to the snow storm and multiple roads being closed going over the mountains I won't be fishing tomorrow. The closest known open route would take me 6 hours to get there instead of the normal 3. 2 major roads are completely closed and the other one is down to 1 lane and constantly being plowed to keep up as all the other traffic has to go that way. Especially knowing that after the tourney ends I'd have to drive it again just smarter to not fish this one and wait til next month.

Sucks but ah well mother nature won this round... pic is of 215 which I'd need to traverse going down/up the mountain.

Wellp turns out Britni had tested posting for covid and I was doing great til Sunday afternoon and then bam I have a fever and feel like crap. So that time table would have had me sick at the tourney and trying to get home. Really glad I didn't do it now lol!

They did catch em pretty good though.
