Man, what a blast today. I didn't get a huge number but almost every one was a 3-4 pounder with 2 5 pounders in the mix. I started out with the popping frog and caught the first 5 pounder and a couple of other good ones. I stuck with the frog a long time but my blow ups next to shore turned into some swats and boils out away from shore. I switched up to a buzzbait and it was game on for a few more chunks. That bite died so I went sub surface and went with the chatterbait. I quickly caught 4 more including the 2nd 5 pounder. I finished the day flipping a couple more chunks under some matt's then caught my final on a jerkbait. I ended up with 13 total and was loaded up on the trailer at noon. It was almost 90 degrees, it was a scorcher! All smiles today! Thanks for reading.

Hopefully the fish weren't too beat up over the weekend. Let's see how it goes out there today.  ~cf

I had a good bite today with numbers but the size wasn't there. Casting a buzzbait parallel to the shoreline was the ticket. After that died, the speed worm worked well too. It was fun but the water level is very low over here. We need some rain!

Just in case any one is interested in learning about the YO-ZURI Pencil Popper, I posted a bank fishing video thread about it over here --> South FL Bank Fishing w/ YO-ZURI Pencil Popper

Going to pick up were I left off Fri. Hopefully the bass didn't party too hard this weekend.  :)

Upgraded my SLX spool bearings. ;)

Looks like wind, overcast, and possible rain for tomorrow. A buzzbait, spinnerbait, or chatterbait will be on the menu! Let's see what they want!

Got a trip lined up this morning. Don't know who's more excited, me or the client.  lo lo Client is from out of town, and really wants to experience catching a peacock and everglades bass. Me other hand, I'm excited to witness the client reaction when his first pea crushes his artificial lure.  lo lo

Good luck Lou, I hope they cooperate!
