Welcome to Event#4 at LUMS SP in Bear, DE where the Big Bass keep on being caught.

Today, 11 SJHT members came out to our 4th Event of the season.  With changing weather conditions, the past week filled with rain showers, and additional tree laydowns from last years tornadoes, , we were hoping the Bass would be biting....and biting they were with numerous lost fish next to the boat.

So we venture out of state and I say to myself, Self "This could be your day".  Self replies, "Is that guy Brian showing up?" I then just take a sip of my coffee and hum the words\song to "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nothing to !@#$##".

Shall we begin.....

Summary: LUMS SP is alway typically a fun place to fish.   Anytime an angler can catch a PB or other species of fish is always welcom.  The water was definitely up more than normal.  The trees downed from last years tornado was kinda of a added bonus.  The new electronic boat launch parking payment kiosk was a nice touch.  The Porta-O-Potty NOT SO MUCH!!!!  Needs to cleaned out on a more regular basis.  Lawd Have Mercy!!!  Insert a TAZ Comment.  JK!  LOL.

Members reported catching Bass all throughout the water columns.  There was defintely a good bite earlier on.... Even later in the PM.  It really just depended on the areas where most were targeting.  Most of the Bass that were being caught were in the low 2lb category but on occassion one would have 1 on that dwarf the previous one.  I gots to get a Go-Pro!!! LUMS SP always produces solid, thick, healthly Bass.  Surprisely no Catfish were caught.  Personally I had my first hook up 1hr into the event.  Next 2 hook up was about an hour later but 10 mins apart.   Had some smaller pick up later but they toss the hook with me not focusing at that moment.

In All, all 8 out of 11 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass.   There were 14 Bass caught overall.  A decrease of 15 Bass from fishing 2 weeks ago at Rainbow Lake.  LUMS SP gave way to total of 32.86bs caught overall.  The  avg. weight was 2.35bs.  An increase of approx. .50lbs from Rainbow Lake.
Overall.... 3 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.

Congrats to Brian McCulley, BN06, and Mike Del M. on your performances.

Next up is NORTHEAST RIVER out of Anchor Marine in 2.5 weeks on Thursday.
