Hit the little lake at day break hoping for a topwater bite, however the air temp was 38 degrees and the water temp only 60. So that is down about 5 degrees from what everyone said so the top water bite did not happen. About 8 I switched to running a beetle spin down shorelines looking for crappie. About 10 I see a cypress tree and I can't stand it, I pitch a buzz bug to it and catch a 5 pound bass. Hum, okay I can do this, 30 shoreline targets later, NOTHING. Back to the beetle spin, I had 4 crappie at 2 so I quit for the day. Apparently I was on the wrong lake, the big lake (cypress) was kicking out crappie pretty good....

Blue bird skies, light and variable south wind. 38-70 degrees
WT 60-67
WC about 12 inches

Mike tks for sharing the trip with us.  Congrats on the catching also.  I wish I could get out on the water here.  The weather has been nice warm and sunny.  The WIND has been a real PITA though  ~xyz  We've had 20 - 40 mph winds just about every weekend and through out the week  :'(
