Put in at 2 PM and fished islands near Tuckers out of the wind till 6.  Water 67 degrees and very stained except closer to banks where visibility improved. Caught 3 ( largest 3.2lbs.) around trees in 4 ft of water on black and blue wacky worm and one female ( 2.5lbs ) in 1 ft of water up against a protected log/laydown on a white popping Frog. Tried Turtle Shell where water not as stained from 6-7 with white and also green/yellow frog, and fluke with no luck. Nice cloudy afternoon except for wind..My SpotLock is a 16lb. anchor and  12ft rope so wind is problematic for me but still had an enjoyable afternoon.

Thanks for the report. Love the spot lock, I don't have one either. Got a big trolling motor, but that doesn't help when the wind will blow you off your deck.... It's been crazy this year.

How was the salvanina?

patchy and much improved over past 2 years. 3 weeks ago there was lots of dead salvinia everywhere but this is dissapating and new salvinia hasn't taken off yet. Clinton Lake shows much less salvinia also, Tuetle Shell is patchy, From Drift Inn east to the damn is very little, James Bayou the most as of 3 weeks ago but expect rain move some of this to main lake.
