Having issues with the hole shot. Have a 150 mariner magnum efi. 24p trophy prop to pad is 2" still have good water pressure once on plane. 4500-4700 rpm while trying to get on plane. Once on plane 65mph at 5500 rpm. Do these boat just have really bad hole shots or what do I have wrong.

Is this a new problem?

Did you recently change the prop or something?

Possible going bad fuel line from the tank and under pressure it constricts but once at higher throttles its fine?

Or did you add something like talons/poles to the back?

Really shouldn't get over 4k when getting on pad so something just isn't right. If you just bought this boat, the previous owner my have sacrificed some planing ability for top end speed.

This was my thought as well. 65mph from a 150 on that hull is damned good for that hull.

the OP did mention his prop to pad is 2".  This seems very shallow to me.  I am not familiar with the boat being discussed but I would question the overall set up and what method was used to determine  prop to pad

If that top end is correct then you shouldn't be too deep for a good hole shot. Does that prop have the ventilation holes/plugs? How long is your hole shot, time wise?
