Taking some time this morning to do a quick wipe down of the old 1991 Ranger 365.  Just this simple wipe down has the memories pouring in as I move through the wipe down.  This boat is not in pristine condition and she and I have been through a whole lot together over the years.  This includes her 7 years at Santee that is probably responsible for many of the battle scars that this old hull has endured during this time.  It even has a scrape where it tried to eat my mailbox one day when I was not paying attention to business.  Funny how each one of these scars are special.  Here are a couple of pictures just taken this morning.  Tomorrow we are heading to the river for a quick shake down cruise to find out if my recent motor repair have been successful.  We are hoping for the best based on the driveway test under muffs the other day but nothing compares to having the boat under pressure in a true on water test.  I am hoping for the best.

A nice looking boat and a nice boat to fish out of as a co-angler.

This is the reason I spent the money to upgrade my 1994 Ranger 492VS to the 21st century.....

I have a boat that would cost me nearly $100,000 today and I'm all in for about $25,000.....

Original owner of a1993 Stratos 254, on the third motor and third trolling motor. I could afford a new boat, but I refuse to pay those jacked up prices, so I just putt along with the old gal....

Perfect!  It's why I bought an old Ranger...
