Ok so just got here to Edward's and while trying to get a license keep coming across a "2 rod rule". Does thus apply to only the guys who sit on the bank and have rod holders??

If I go to a pond I could have 3 or 4 rods sitting in the truck but I'm only "using" 1 at a time.

Thanks to anyone clearing this up!

Obviously it's been a while since I've been in California but it used to be as you suggest. You can only use two rods at a time, say if you were cat fishing with cut bait or something or bream fishing with bobbers.

Before I left, they had a new rule about having to wear your license on the outside of your clothing. Make sure to read the book well, lots of small things you wouldn't even think about.

Rudy,
The two rod stamp applies for actively fishing with two rods.  You can have as many rods with you as you want.  I know one bass guy that would get the stamp so he could legally drag a drop shot while he was casting something else.  But mostly it is the trout trollers and bank fishermen that use them.
