My friend Len Kovats and I went out to Camp Far West for the evening bite.  Arrived about 4 pm.  First accomplishment was to lock the keys in my truck.  I did not think my RAM would let that happen, but we managed to outsmart it.  Fortunately home is only 25 minute away and my wonderful wife came out with the spare key.  Henceforth that key will reside in the boat.!  Back to fishing.  Water temp was 79 degrees, with a nice stain.  We fished close to the ramp while waiting for Kate.  Len hooked up on a rock point using a chatterbait, I followed quickly with an 5XD crankbait.  Great start and it continued sporadically on a couple other points.  We moved across the lake, keeping the ramp in sight and amazingly, schoolie spotted bass started boiling.  I threw a rattle trap and Len cast a squarebill.  We both hooked up several times, but they were mostly 8-10 inch fish.  After Kate brought the key, we moved down the lake and the bite slowed some so we switched to Ned rigs for a few more..  Finally I got bit among some rocks right on the shore and land a 2.7 pound largemouth.  Shortly after that I caught my requisite catfish and we decide to call it a night.  Again, most fish came off mainlake rocks, points were best.  Productive areas had bait showing on the graph.
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

I've often wondered if I could lock my keys in the truck, I need to check while at home.
