What Rain?  What Bad weather?

With the threat of bad weather to include possible strongs winds and lightening, we had the lightest turnout to date, but SJHT anglers still came out to tame the old battle grounds of Stone Tavern!

Welcome to round #15 of the SJHT 2021 season where 8 members came out to battle down and say "F" the weather.

The bite was pretty much on once everyone got on the water.
Within 1st 5 mins, I had to misses on my trusty crankbait.   Fast forward and hour later, I had 2 Keepers while picking up dinks in between the foray.   Keeping an eye on the skies and the sound on thunder and lightening, it never materialized!  It was actully a great day to be on the water.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to overall 1st place winner and Lunker Winner,  Jackson *Gaining Ground* Fu by weighing in 3 Bass going 7.48lbs Fu's  Lunker went a nice 3.15lbs. 2nd Place won by Andy *Trapper* Trapani with 3 Bass going 5.87lbs3rd Place was won by BN06 with 3 Bass going 4.39lbs. Misc. was won by Rob *Ram1212* Masterson with a fatty Catfish going 5.01lbs.

Summary: STONE TAVERN LAKE greeted us with a New paved surface, overcast conditions that allowed anglers to sneek up on them before the skies got bright, and just a pleasant day to be on the water.  The bass were very active although not sure where the pickeral have gone to.  Most anglers were culling early and often.....myself included.  The right grass was "Found".  (See Photo) Last but not least, it stayed dry and calm throughout our event and the drive home.

All of the Bass caught appeared very healthy and thick.  I had 2 keepers within the 1st hour and a half of the Tournament. Anglers reported losing some nice size bass next to the boat.  Some spitting the hooks while others just didn't have a good hook set.

In All, all 8 out of 8 SJHT Anglers caught at least 1 Bass.   There were 20  Bass caught overall.  Stone Tavern Bass gave way to total of 30.95lbs caught overall.  STONE TAVERN avg. weight was 1.55lbs.

An outstanding 6 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.

Congrats to Jackson Fu, Andy Trapani, BN06, and Rob on your performances.

Next up is DELAWARE RIVER out of Gloucester City in 2 Weeks

Tightlines,
BN06

As always thanks for the great report.

You all seem to catch at least one kitty cat every tournament and they are also large...

Yeah...lately the kitty cats even back here in Jersey have been pretty big.  Must be that garlic infused lure.  Lol.
