As part of the 5 star review, I wonder if you shouldn't also include cost as an element. It's something that I often consider. 5 stars if your getting a great deal, 1 star if you think it's overpriced. Just a thought.

It is something that we could incorporate but if it is added now as an additional criteria it will show with no ratings on the products that have already been reviewed in effect lowering their ratings.

I will check it out and see if we can't add it to one of the existing stars... any suggestions?

Quality and Reliability
Availability
Information
Delivery
Customer Service

We could add price to availability....

Okay rather than adding it as a star, we can comment on it, so in effect we could just add a comment block on price and price opinion.
I know I say we, but I really mean you. Sorry.

we already are posting the price in the review...and a reality is that prices change - sometimes things go on sale, the prices posted are "suggested retail" which as we all know, isn't always what the purchase price necessarily is.

I see where you added it to your review, but didn't see where there was a dedicated block to adding the price and your opinion of the price.
Maybe I just need to see a review guideline so that I know what I should be putting where.

Ok, after looking at the setup I can add the price field to the initial product submission but there isn't a way to add it to the review process unless we add it to the 5 star portion of it. So we can give the person that submits the product the option of adding a price and a comment on that price or we can edite the criteria that we use for the 5 star scale....

I would leave your stars alone. they work well. I think just making sure that price opinion is a viable option for a review works well.

Time to get involved...anyone with suggestions for products they want reviewed are welcome to PM me with their suggestions and I'll do my best to get them submitted.

And, if you haven't checked out the reviews on the Home Page, now would be a great time to do so...you can add your review to any already existing item that's being reviewed.

I love the idea of the review system. You can get good input, but if you havnt noticed most of them are 5 stars... I didn't see any less than 5 star ... I didn'd look at them all though. Might be nice to have some about lures that don't catch fish and just catch fisherman... I will try to put my input in the system though... Thanks for all the help you give on this site.. I have been reading it and it is paying off.

I try to check them every day M-F and get them published. If you do enter some products and reviews please remember to add in their company contact information

I will be able to publish it much faster if that is included

the concept of posting some not so very good products is a good idea too...might spur greater involvement if people realize we're not just promoting that which we like, but actually reviewing products, with honest assessments.

I would also encourage you to let the tackle manufacturers that you know to enter their products. All I ask is that the information that they submit is factual and about the bait and that they include their contact information.

It would be free marketing/promotional help for them and also they would get feedback from the people that visit the site.

Thank Fish, I approved all of the new reviews today... Got a bit behind

I did have two or three reviews that I had to go out and get the info on. If you did a review you might want to check it out. There are a couple of folks that added the product but no review at the end, they did their review inside of the product area so I reworked it and you can give your review now
