Beads on topwater setup

Ive been using a bead with all my fishing rods for rod guide protection and was wondering if it was negatively affecting the action of my spook?
(I have a bead above a steal leader attached to the spook via the swivel.to a split ring

I doubt the bead hurts anything although it's not needed... The steel leader on the other hand can't help.

You're using the leader for the toothy critters right? The bead might actually help, it might make it look like the spook is chasing something.
