Yes they went up, but for a basic license I think it's still very reasonable.

Is that a yearly license? Our freshwater license is $28 and if you buy online there is an added fee so it comes out to just about $31. They run from January 1 to December 31.

The new license fees will go into effect June 1, 2022.

Quote"Recreational licenses purchased on or after June 1, 2022, will be valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. These licenses will no longer follow the July 1-June 30 year."

Boat registration changes go into effect November 15, 2021. Paddle craft will not require registration. That was removed from the bill before it was passed. All of the new fees can be view by navigating to the following link. https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/understanding-our-license-fee-changes
