July 11th was a Pro/Am tournament.

Saturday which was a practice day for Sunday's tournament, I fished with a buddy of mine. We got on the water around 6:00am and started fishing topwaters around deep bluff walls. No takers. Switched to wacky and neko rigs and starting getting bit. We didn't connect with them as we wanted them for Sunday. I did manage to land a decent 18.5"er on a neko rig around 2pm.
We had to get off the water around 3pm when some NASTY thunder storms started to roll through.

A LOT of rain fell on Saturday afternoon and night.

Sunday (tournament day) we hit spot number 1 and the water color had seriously changed from all the rain. We hit a bunch of spots throughout the day and the conclusion was I couldn't figure them out at all. Between the two of us, we had a couple of bites, but no fish.

It was mostly cloudy both days plus the thunderstorms, but when the sun came out on Sunday it was brutally hot.
Air temps were low to mid 90's with zero wind
Water temps were 80 ~ 82°f
Water levels are about 6 foot below full pool and rising again

It can be tough when the conditions change from one day to the next like that. But hey, you gave it a solid shot. You will catch em' next time. Appreciate the report, thank you for sharing.

I hate it when a lot of rain falls overnight, it's a crap shoot as to what the bass will do. Sometimes they hold steady sometimes they don't.

Thanks for the report.
