Lowrance HDS Live 12

Anyone with Lowrance HDS Live 12 have/had issues with the screen going black.....and I DO mean black, as in absolutely black.
I've been working with one of the Lowrance Pro-Staff and we have done all the normal "rabbit-out-of-the-hat" tricks with no results.
Every time I fire it up, the back-lite for the page buttons etc are lit up so we know it's getting power.  Plus, we've checked the voltage at the power plug and the voltage is good.  We also hooked this unit up to known good/operating  unit's power source with the same results.
I know by know you are all saying, "Call Lowrance"!!!  Been there, and waiting to hear back from them.  I'll fill you all in if/when we get this resolved for future reference for anyone.

Maybe a hard reset if you haven't already, which I'm sure you have. One other thought is the screen has been dimmed with touch screen. Try hitting the lower button repeatedly.

But would definitely more like time for Lowrance.

This was my first thought also. Happened to my once, during the bright day light it appeared totally black.

OK ya'all, here's the story on the HDS Live 12 from the previous posts. 
Yes, did all the home grown tricks and Lowrance pro-staff tricks and ended up sending it in,,,(after over two hours on the phone!!!!)
Anyway, I was one week and one day out of warrantee. They said they would warrant it anyway. (good service I'd say)  They said send it in and they would fix or replace it within 7 to 10 days.
I got a new unit back in less than 10 days and all is well.
Now,,,,,,, all that's left is to train this new unit how to find FISH!!!!!!
