Just wondering what boat cover brand or manufacturer y'all would recommend. I have the one that came with my stratos but it's a real PITA to put on and it doesn't fit with my new ultrex. I sold my house and moved so for the next few months the boat has to sit outside! Gasp. I'd like to get a decent cover just for storage that I can put on by myself. I looked into the canvas garages but the reviews are all over the place. Any suggestions??

Carver..... I got the one with a 10 year warranty..... I think I paid $500-$600.....custom cover for my Z-18......am happy and it does it's job but TBH all covers are a little bit of a PITA to some degree.

Forgot to add that I've had it almost 3 years and I store mine outside exclusively

I got a new cover for my Ranger a couple of years ago at Boat Covers Direct.  $125 for a second, but I never have found the flaw and it fits over my Ultrex.

So the cover is pretty nice. Plenty big enough to cover my ultrex and the shock cord sewed into the hem makes it so I can out it on by myself. Kinda like a big fitted sheet. However it was so big that it caught even more water than  the tarp.

So after drying the boat out AGAIN I had to come up with something else.  Google showed me some examples of tarp supports and so off to Lowes I went.

A bunch of 1" PVC pipe and some fittings and TA-DA!  Now she sheds water like a ducks back. The PVC is easy to put in and out of the boat by myself and so far so good on keeping things dry. I have never seen this much rain in the summer in Michigan. Figures it's right after I move and don't have. A place inside for the boat.

So for now I'd say this is a win. .maybe I'll get a can of. Scotchgard if it ever stops raining up here, just for a little extra protection.

Nice work on the PVC. Even though I have a custom cover I had to do something similar but on a much smaller scale

Nice job.  I had do do something similar on my stock cover after a few years.

Get a can of paint to paint the pvc.  After a year or so of sitting in the sun while you're fishing it will get brittle and break.  The paint will protect it from the UV rays that break down pvc.
