things are tough all over.  fall draw down.  lake levels dropping.

Options of where to go this weekend:
1. big spots down in Alabama (Smith Lake or my 'secret spot' west of Birmingham)
2. center hill?
3. dale hollow?
4. pickwick?
5. wheeler?

looks like center hill.  it's about an hour closer than dale hollow.  any one want to (PM) with h ints about 'where' to play?  thinking upper river...  sink creek area?

went to nickajack yesterday -- caught a couple in the early morning. After that.....zilch.

Tims Ford -- tough!!

I suspect everything is going to be tough until the temps drop at night.

My area has been tough for quite some time as well.  I will be fishing Lake Okeechobee for the next few months.

you guys just aren't giving me the warm fuzzies!

lo

but you're right.  combination of 'not cold enough yet' and dropping water levels...  ooftah!

caddy:  were you down on main lake working grass?  or upriver in current?

Man if I had Dale Hollow close enough I'd fish it all the time.... Only been there once but loved it.

was even considering taking a drive up to Gibson county lake.  might hold off on Reelfoot for thanksgiving (but then it's probably 'DUCK!' season)

MIke:  do you have a ramp preference at Dale Hollow?

I was next to Hales bar throwing a squarebill in the rocks but you had to throw em in the rocks to get bit.

went to Lake Jordan in AL this weekend with a couple UB'rs.

we caught some on a carolina rig, small swimbait underspin, an ARig, one on an all white crank.  ARig boated some big stripers because the spots were not really into anything we threw at them.

absolutely.  Junk all around.  I see the overnight temps are dropping this week -- so hopefully we get a real fall and not a part 2 of the fake fall.   ~roflmao

Hey coldfront I love that lake!  Dale Hollow is one of my top three places on earth and most of the time it is number 1. When we go there we usually stay on the Kentucky side, but coming from your side for a day I would drive to the town of Livingston. From there head to either Willow Grove Resort and Marina, or Lillydale Recreation Area  in Allons, TN 38541.  I have not personally launched at either but have been to Willow Grove lots by boat. They are top notch people. I did test drive a  Phoenix boat with a dealer and we launched there.  I met my guide at Lillydale once and that was a nice launch there. Both put you basically near the middle of the lake on the TN side. We have stayed in cabins at Hendricks Creek Resort and Marina and Holley Creek Resort Marina.

thanks fishandkamp.  my question:  free boat ramps?  I kinda hated to toss $8 bucks in the box last weekend.  i get it thought.  imagine that place is a zoo on summer days.
