It was a grind today

The spawn should be in full swing in my area but the weather has made it quite tough lately. Today was the first warm, sunny day in close to a week and you could tell that the bass weren't sure what to think. We thought we had them figured out early by getting 3 good quick bites on a swim jig but that fizzled out quick. We put our 4th fish in the boat an hour later and then things died down tremendously. Other than a couple of tiny bass, we went about 3-4 hours before we put our 5th bass in the boat. That was when we figured out that they were still holding in the same areas but you really had to slow down. From there we culled up a number of times from 12 pounds to just under 16 pounds.

Not a bad day on a lake that I am not familiar with.
