Bass Pro Tour lost Palanuik and Swindle  to Bassmaster.

They had to break a contract and it cost them $50,000. Things must not be that good over there.

Swindle made $18k in his year with MLF. Palaniuk made $73k.

They must think there's a lot more money to be made, or they just really don't enjoy the format.

That news broke a couple of weeks ago.

I figure Guys will swap sides for awhile until those that want will find where to be to find that want.

BASS Big Names were basic No Bodies before the others left, so anyone going back will be an Instant Big Name and "the one to beat".

Wish them all well.

For anyone interested, there are interviews with BP and GS on YouTube on the Bass Talk Live channel. The GMan interview is starting here in a few minutes.

In Brandon's interview, he stated that he has paid all his entry fee's for two different divisions of the Opens, as well as the Elites. So he'll be fishing 3 total series this year.

WOW  :shocking:

Just wow. That's all I can say after listening to G Man's interview about why he made the move. You all need to go listen to the interview. It's well worth your time. Gerald said he knew during the first day of the second MLF event that he absolutely hated it and that he wanted out. So much great insight in his interview. I might have to give it another listen.

I know the news came out a couple weeks ago, but what I just found out today was that the current Elites had to "allow" them back in by a vote!!!  :o

What a great interview. I really appreciated hearing his take on it.

Drinking Rum before noon makes you a Pirate not an alcoholic!

Was it just me or did it sound like he was almost crying a few times during the interview? Maybe it was done to give that impression? Either way thought he sounded broke up a few times.

Personally I think he is funny and entertaining. Don't really care where he fishes its all eventually on YouTube anyway.   ;D

Those interviews are done live, so I doubt it's doctored in any kind of way.

If you watched his weigh in at the classic last year, you'll remember that he broke down a little on stage. The man truly has a passion for BASS.

I guess if I really was a FAN of any of these Bass Groups I would care who was where and who was doing what.

But honestly I don't. I like the MLF Format, so that attracts me. As to who is or is not fishing it doesn't really matter. What they do or don't do has no effect on my life.

having met G-Man one day down here, completely off camera and randomly at waterfront -- I can tell you the G-Man you see on camera is exactly the same G-Man you get off.  The dude is as genuine as can be.  We must have talked straight up fishing for about 20 minutes.

Oh I like his entertainment while fishing etc but thought that was a tick on the soft side for a radio show over a decision on what league to fish that he had already decided long before. Not saying hes a bad guy just thought it was a little dramatic IF he was even crying.
