My first ever NuTech spoons arrived today.  I purchased the 1/2oz model in Chrome.  I have not ever used a jigging spoon but am looking forward to trying them out on some of the deep river fish that I see on my sonar but cant seem to catch.

I am surprised at how mall these spoons are,  I was expecting something larger but I pleasantly surprised at what I got.    Attached are a couple pics to give you an idea of size.

Besides jigging, spoons like that are really good cast and retrieved through schooling fish.   Just cast 'em out and rip 'em back.

I have noticed bo designs baits for his style of fishing. Jigs, spoons, spinnerbaits predominantly used in highland lakes.

This is a whole new style of presentation for me.  I have watched Bo's video on this product and am still a bit confused about using a barrel swivel.  It appears when using in a casting style presentation the swivel is very important but when using it in a jigging presentation then tying direct to the bait without a swivel is the preferred method.  Deep water fishing is certainly not in my knowledge base or experience base as we don't usually have a lot of deep water here in Low Country.  The river presents a number of deep water challenges to explore.  The electronics mark fish but I just had not method other than deep diving cranks, heavier spinner baits and jigs to get down to the depth of the fish.  Thought I would give this spoon thing a try.  Maybe even this old dog will learn a new trick.   ~c~ ~c~
