I got out last night for a quick trip on Oneida. I only got to fish about 1.5 hours before dark, so I tried to cover as much water as I could. The water levels have risen about 12-18" I'm guessing since two weeks ago with all of the recent rain. Despite this, the water is still pretty clear for the most part. Unfortunately, lots of the bank is now under water and cannot be walked any more. The weeds seem to have died off and are now laying on the bottoms. The only way I was able to locate them was when dragging a jig on the bottom.

Despite seeing some topwater activity, baitfish along the banks, and a few carp up against the banks, I only managed one bite all night. It was a small crappie that came on a 1/2oz spinnerbait.

Officially Oneida is done for the year. Not even a nibble from a bluegill on a worm. This place looked desolate with no fish movement  anywhere.

You know it bad when you can't get a Bluegill to hit a worm.
