Which area are you planning on staying?  I don't know the area, but I would guess that the TN side is going to be cheaper!
There is nothing like sharing any moment outdoors with someone special!

Not that far from me (80min drive). Let me know when you go and I'll drag my rig down and join you if I can. I usually put in at Washington County Park. Only stayed at the Holiday Inn (Bristol Va) once and it was very disappointing. If you're up to the morning drive, we have a guest room.

how far up the river do  you all go?  or do you stay down in main lake?

last question:  how big can you reasonably expect to see?

I've gone up the river on the Va side as far as the Whitaker Hollow boat ramp, but most of my smallies have come from the main lake on the TN side.

We committed to Cherokee this trip leaving Tues Am about 5am from Norman about 3 hours to the lake. Most likely stay at Super 8 good rate and parking again the wall  ~c~for boats and back :surrender: PoPo Will be going to South Holston later this month most likely and will stay in Bistol area never been before. I don't really care to purchase a lake license to fish up river in VA.  Wish all would kiss and make up and honor Tn or Va on same body of water like NC and Va on Kerr. Also wish Cotton was a money and I had a watermellon and while I'm at it a 9 lb Smallie :shocking: OK Princetonman give me a buzz and meet us at Cherokee. We will put in at the Dam Landing about 9am with luck. Easy of Interstate lots of motel room, good eats and best news is it's all down hill going home Sure nuff call me on the Text me first on the Bat Phone as I don't pick up on numbers I don't know most times. Hell no don't need car warranty or another credit card or refi on the house ~b~ 704-467-6000  That 704 (Lord's Area Code)HOP cause a Mercury is a hopping turning 6000 plus lo

You going after Smallies or Stripers?? lo I'm not able to skip work this Tuesday.  >:( Give me a tiny bit more notice and I should be able to meet at SoHo.  ~gf   I usually lock my calendar for the following week on Thursday so as long as I know by Thurday I'm good. Already have you in my phone. Got you in my phone.

We going for smallies, BUT if we get in a school of bass with racing stripe so be it.  We have hit big schools of Hybrids and Stripers before and had a great time.

Cherokee is a favorite lake for Striper Fishermen in this area.

I've done quite a bit of looking and it appears TN only reports and tracks water release and flow rates. No mention of surface temps at all on the lakes.

Most likely but not for sure we will climb the mountain on Friday after Thanksgiving and fish Fr-Sat and 1/2 Sunday.  Depends on Tenn ball games.  Can't afford a room ball game week ends lo lo
