Sooo....

Anyone here getting into it? I'm torn between one and a kayak. I used to kayak a lot in high school (and now wish I still had my dagger blackwater) but enjoy a SUP as well. There are obvious pro's and cons to each. My thought for SUP would be a tackle belt/vest and my 7' colt 703 with citica. It would certainly make me pack light.

Any recommendations for equipment?

The lake i fish is 1200 acres, 26 miles of shoreline, much of which is hard/impossible to access by foot on the bank but easy access from one of many launch areas for kayak or SUP, so either would really open up my fishing potential.

An inflatable PFD would be high on my list of required items.  ;)

Actually had not thought of that, but very smart. Anything can happen and the lake is large and deep in spots.

I'd recommend a kayak stable enough to stand on when you wanted.
