Weather cloudy and storms headed in.
Temp low 70's
Water clarity 2 foot of visibility

Bank fishing on the main road side.

Started with a squarebill and not a sniff.
Then grabbed the Dc744c with a 1/4 oz Nujig w/a flappin hawg trailer. Threw to a couple rock piles and got one bite that I lost because the rod almost jerked out of my hand on the hookset. Moved down the bank and pitched to a bush and the line took off like a shot. Landed the first one a good 17.5" with a bloody tail.
Two pitches later and had another decent one on. This pattern held up till I ran out of bushes I could pitch to.
I ended up with 8 landed and 3 lost unfortunately 2 of the lost were the biggest two. I was fishing on a 6 foot high bank that made it very hard to land fish. I was afraid to boat flip 4 lbers that far and didn't have a net long enough. So while trying not to fall in I lost them.
Probably would have gotten more if my phone didn't warn me about a tornado.
An excellent 3 hrs of fishing.
