I ran across one of these for $50 just wondering if they are worth buying. From what I have read they seem like well made reels.
Appreciate any input

Awsome reels, just like their big brother the Curado. I have always liked the Citicas myself better, due to their coloration. Ds are a big heavy reel though, takes a bit to get used to. They have an aluminum frame and crankplate, but they are built tough as nails.

LMG covered it pretty well. $50 and you'll never need to replace it. They are awesome reels. Just clean it and take care of it, can't get many parts for it anymore.

I ended up getting it for 48.50 shipped, I hope it's in as good of condition as described. It will be my first shimano baitcaster.

That's a good buy. You'll enjoy it I'm sure.

Ok I got the reel in today and either the previous owner took really good care of this reel or didnt use it very much it is in excellent condition. I think all it needs is a little oiling and some line and it will be good to go.
I have seen similar listings on this same reel that you could see signs of wear and use and were selling for more.I think I did good on this one. I cant wait to try it out now.

Awesome news. Just goes to show if we are patient and pay attention... there are still good deals to be had.

I got to try out the reel today, I had it on a 7ft M sellus rod and was throwing a baby torpedo and this reel cast great and is super smooth I was impressed this was my first time using the vbs brake system and I really like it.

VBS is still my favorite. SVS is nice too, but just something about VBS that has shined for soo long. Enjoy that reel, they dont make them like that anymore.
