I know this is a Bass forum but I was wondering if any of you guys have any rod brand recommendations for crappie rods.  I'm looking for a rod to cast 1/8 ounce and under.  I'm thinking I would like a rod around 7ft.   My dad is a avid crappie fisherman and I'm looking to a rod to use when we fish together.

BnM makes great crappie rods. I use their sharp shooter for shooting 1/16 oz jigs under docks. I would not have a problem buying anything they make. and they are reasonable.

I bought a 9' Crappie Maxx rod from BPS last year on special for $39 with a gift card and it seems to be a decent rod for the job.

Fenwick and St. Croix make some great crappie rods, now for some reality. BPS's Micro lite is a nice rod, gets great reviews and the price is decent.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

BPS Micro-Lite is what I use for all my panfishing and occasionally even for some bass fishing when I want a challenge.

I have also heard good things about the B&M poles Zippy mentioned but I have no personal experience with them.
