You should and one of the new Falcon experts too .

I am a huge fan of Falcon rods, well, their made in America rods. I actively pursue hunting down older Falcon rods made in USA. Low Riders, Bucoo's, Cara... love them!

I decided once Falcon started transferring rod production to China and cutting out American made and American workers that I would no longer support Falcon rods.

I am a union member and tend to be very passionate about America first. I support American workers and companies that stay here.

All of my Falcon rods are made in USA and will stay that way. I don't want a Chinese made Falcon rod. And when I went to the Falcon website to see the Expert rod details, the made in USA logo was not there as seen on the Cara rod page.

As I understand it, only the Cara, or Falcon top of the line is still made in America. That would be my choice today.

Get Bit has excellent customer service. It is all they do! They are in business to serve us, so no problems there. Kevin runs a great business and so glad he is in business competing with Mudhole and others locally around here.

Speaking of sensitivity...

this subject is very subjective. Does sensitivity even really matter is the question?

To me it does.

Unfortunately there won't be any time during this upcoming trip.  We will be blazing through your area on April 2 and fishing on April 3&4 with Dave.  Returning back to SC on the morning of the 5th.  I have already started to consider a return trip just to spend some time exploring some of the true Florida waters and perhaps seeing some of the my UB brothers.  The return trip will depend upon if the Guntersville Rally happens or not.  My play money had dwindled significantly with the refurb of the Ranger and now the upgrade to the house.

We also have a lot of low country waters that hold some big bass but I can't get to them with my Ranger.  One has to have a small tin boat to even have a chance.  In a lot of our coastal waters you also have to deal with tidal conditions and this really limits access to some to the back water creeks and ponds.  Skinny water conditions are not new to SC Bass fishers.

I do appreciate your offer and also your suggestions for my upcoming trip.  I think Dave is a great starting choice.  With all the great water you  folks have I don't think anyone could go too wrong with their lake suggestions.  I am also interested in the St. Johns as a possible hunting location or perhaps something north of Orlando or more towards Tampa area.

I was talking about NFC's customer service.. Check out the complaints on BBC.
By the way, Some of the mandrels that Billy Kistler used at All Star he still uses for his new American Pride rods. He had them at Knoxville.
I would hope he still has the Zell Rowland TWS , I have a couple the All Star version

My bad! I misunderstood who you were referring to.

I love my Kistlers, but there is one I love much more... and I have Brett Crawford to thank for making just one business decision that changed rod making history- and gave me something to love.

If Kistler took some of the mandrels he made, then more than likely the one that made my rod was not in his possession when he left. It probably went with the man who made my rod up to Washington state.

I'm going to try and find this man since I now know where he is retired to. I'd like to just have a chance to ask him a couple of questions...

And, when I do buy my NFC blanks it will be from my local vendor Get Bit Outdoors who carry their entire line here locally.

And Bud, I hope you do consider a return trip to Florida.

I am sure UB members on here from every part of this state would be happy to show you around their area and take you fishing Florida style...

Zell Rowland

Zell has been with Impulse for a while now,,,, who's Impulse? The two guys who built the Kistler rods until almost six years ago.   ~gf

loomisguy

He was with someone else before Impulse who's name escapes me but it was another Texas based builder.

FloridaFishinFool

Don Mook? Bill Batson? Brett Chapman? Morgan McCain?

I may be wrong but after All Star I thought Zell went to Kistler. Like I said though I could be wrong.

He may have had a stop wth Kistler also but the one I'm thinking of also had David Fritts name on the crankbait rods.
It may have been another one that Morgan McCain was involved with.

Finally came to me... American Rodsmiths I believe.
