Curado 200K Question

How do you pop off the nose piece safely?  (listed as level wind protector in parts list) 
I know it has the screw on the palm side and two pins holding on the drive side.
I don't want to break those pins prying it off.

I use a small flat head screw driver and wedge it under the edge and slowly lift.
