Repowering the old triton

I scorched a cyl. on my 225 2001 efi. So my 01 tr-21 is getting a 250 pro xs. I dont have a prop and am looking for suggestions on what I should be running? And anyone have an idea how fast this rig will be?

That's going to be a mid 70's boat. I know a lot of guys like the 25 or 26 fury for this. It's hard to drive through the chine walk, hopefully your used to playing with it.

Mike, she ran 74 on gps with the 225. started to walk around 68.quite a handful up to 71 then shew flew

74 is great, I would slap what ever prop you had on the 225 on the 250. Keep in mind that it's only 25 hp and it's pushing a 1400 lb boat (when empty) so the extra 25 horse power isn't going to make you an 80 mph boat. But if you were already getting 74 I could see 76-77.

I used to know a lot of guys with the TR 21 and they all complained about chine walk but they all run 76 mph too. Which in 01 was extremely fast compared to most boats.
