Well, i think we've agreed on going on a package Peacock bass trip in sunny, southern Florida for our honeymoon.

I've done some preliminary searching on the 'net, and i've seen a few guides that offer package deals several days and a few nights accomodations along with guided days on a fully rigged boat.

Does anyone have any experience with these packages?

Has anyone fished south Florida for peacocks?

Does anyone have any particular guides they'd recommend, or any to avoid?

Coonhound,
As a start try this link.

Florida Sportsman Magazine

It has a pretty comprehensive list of articles on the subject if you "fish" around a little.
Good luck on your quest, I know others farther south than I am will show up shortly with more information for you.

Contact Ungotz.  He just became a member last night.  He is a wizard with peacocks.

With peacocks the hotter the better.  As you know they are tropical.  We are now starting to get cold fronts.....So I think you're running out of time.  Do a member search and get with preston. 8)

lo Yep, we're looking at the end of August. The wedding is going to be the 26th, with the honeymoon immediately following.

Thanks for the info, fellas. I'd looked at the Hawghunter site, and that's probably who we'll end up chartering.

Has anyone fished with them?
