Really not much to report. Was out there earlier in the week bass fishing and just caught one small bass and a huge white perch all on a black/blue lizard.

So..decided to grab some minnows and go for the perch today.... Fished mostly across the lake in Brusters pocket where I usually catch the perch.  Only caught a few sand bass and a bream..no perch...where are they or have they already spawned and moved back out ?

Bass fished a little with no hits. Water in the area was starting to clear some but still a little muddy. Water temp was generally around 67 degrees.

Thanks for the report and you at least caught one to keep the skunk out of the boat.  ;D if them Perch didn't hit minnows you can just about bet they wasn't in that area. I'm getting ready to go on my yearly 3 to 4 week Crappie fishing trip in about two weeks and I can't wait. Time to fill my freezer back up cause I'm down to about 40 fillets now. We throw a lot of 1/8 oz Roadrunners tipped with berkley powerbait crappie nibbles on it and do real well with that set up. We only use minnows when it gets hot out and they won't hit anything else.

Sorry you couldn't find your target fish.  Maybe next time.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

All species are in the middle of the spawn, the water temps have been so stable in the mid-sixties that they are just minor waves moving through...

Lots of bass anglers catching perch in the woods
