Greetings to everyone,

Spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday fishing the UBCS Event on Toledo Bend.  I launched out of Fin and Feather Resort out of Hemphill, TX.   Spent Friday (Pre-fishing) and Saturday (Day 1) fishing in Hausen Bay area.  Friday morning it was partly sunny and 80 dgrs.  Saturday morning it was partly sunny and 74 dgrs.  It was pretty windy out on the main lake which made it pretty rough riding out there.  At my location the wind didn't effect me.  Water temp both days ranged 61 - 63dgrs depending on your location.  The lake was murky to stained depending on your location also.

My (4) bass I weighed in were caught from stretches of Hay Grass in (8ft) of water and Cypress Trees along the bank line in (2ft) of water.  The bass caught from the Hay Grass were caught on a 3/8 Gold Willowleaf w/ # 2 Colorado Silver Blade with a Bleeding Shad Skirt.  The bass caught from the Cypress Trees were caught on a Texas Rigged Sweet Beavers 4.20 Bloody Mary and California 420.

The (4) bass total weigh was 6.77 lbs.  Two of the 4 bass were 15inches and the other (2) were 16inches.  Here a picture of 2 of the 4 from Saturday's weigh in.

Sunday morning we had an early weigh in of 1pm.  With the shorten day we fished closer to the weigh-in site.  We launched and fished Carrice Creek.  Weather was over cast and 83dgrs.  The water was murky to clear depending on your location.  Water temps were in the 61 - 64dgr range.

On this day I only caught (2) bass (1) was 3.5lbs and the other was 1.9lbs.  Both were caught flipping a
Texas Rigged Sweet Beavers a 4.20 California 420.  Both came off Cypress trees in real shallow water.

My tournament total weight for (6) bass was 11.68lbs.

Thanks for a great report ~c~

It was a great trip considering the lack of time I had to prefish.  But like we all said the UBCS really isn't about the fishing its the meeting and socializing with one another.
