Flag Lake 3/25/18

Wife and I went out for the first time this year and she chose Flag.  Fished from 10-3, cloudy whole time and water temp was 67/68 everywhere we went.  Started across from launch, missed two on a bigfoot scum frog, tried wife's go to white spinner, no luck on that.  Talked her into pitching trees since everyone else seemed to be, lasted about 10 min as she subscribes to the chunk and wind bass fishing philosophy, but not before I missed one on a watermelon red sweet beaver type bait.  Moved to the open area going back toward base housing and threw silver/blue rattletrap and rattlin' rap, caught 1.5 lb. white crappie and 4 bass largest being 3 lb.  Nothing else rest of the trip back to launch.  We were happy to be out again.
