Several folks showed up for the Cross Lake fruit jar tournament on the 10 March 2018. You'd think everyone would just smash them. The water temp was right at 60 degrees to start the day and I seen almost 65 by noon. But my partner and I didn't do so well. I caught one right off the bat that weighted 3.51 pounds. I know because it was the only fish we weighed in. I lost another on the way to the boat that would have been a keeper but those were the only two fish we had all day.

Several of the guys fishing did much better than us. The winner had 11 plus pounds and it was a three fish tournament  :-* So that was a 3.5 average  ~c~

We seen several bass on beds, so maybe all the bass I was targeting were more interested in love making than eating. The water is fairly muddy still. Only about 6 inches of visibility. I imagine if the water was clearer we could see a lot of bedding activity going on.

Not much to report, I don't even know what everyone caught them on. I had to leave early because my 7th grandson was coming in to the world :toot:
