Old Boat Trailer Pic

Just one picture to give you an indication of the shape of my old trailer.  I just took this one shot but you can look anywhere on the trailer and see rust damage like this including the wheels.  During the measurements last saturday it was also learned that one of my main bunks is broken but will hold for now until the new trailer is ready.  A lesson for anyone putting in in brackish water with a painted trailer.  You can expect the same issues.

Yep, Brackish is almost as bad as pure salt water.  Proud for you on your upgrade brother!

I forgot to mention that one of the leaf springs is also cracked.  Glad I am getting this stuff taken care of.

Poor baby, we knew ye when you were young and quick!!! Cracked spring, probably broken, center bolt will most likely break trying to get it apart and to put a complete spring in means you'll need to buy a pair or it'll go down the road with a pretty good list to one side. What shape is the axle in?

Well Rodney, none of that stuff is gonna happen.  All she has to do is hold together until the new trailer is finished in about two weeks and then she is heading to the scrap yard.  As far as the axle goes there are just some things I don't want to know about but I am sure it is not very good.  Taking the boat back to storage today and that will be her last movement until she heads down that green mile.
