Don, It looks like you are achieving a line thru technique by inserting the eye of the hook from the bottom.  I guess you push it far enough out the nose of the bait to get a line and knot completed then push the bait up over the knot.  Am I reading that correctly?

Thanks to everyone for the responses.  This post has been very informative and instructional

You got it  ;)  I put super glue on the areas around the hook.  Sometimes the bait tears a little when I push that hook up through the belly.

One other thing.  I fish my Swimbaits on a BPS Extreme 7ft MH rod; Revo S 6.4:1 baitcaster; 20lb Berkley Big Game Clear Mono line.

So many folks reporting solid success with swim baits.  I have to say that this is not true for me.  I figure I must be doing something wrong. Could be rigging, could be presentation and retrieve types or perhaps I just don't understand the correct place and time to use them.

I would appreciate some tips from folks that might help me understand the proper way to use these soft plastic baits.
Until the last paragraph I thought u meant what most guys mean by swimbaits like the 10 inch glides or hudds, I had a whole thing typed out until I read that lol my bad man, ima big bait guy, no help on your topic

I use keitech swimbaits in all sizes. Darter heads, weighted hooks, un-weighted and as trailers. Deep to really shallow.
Favorite is in padstems in early spring with a weighted hook. Slow steady retrieve works well then.
Deep reservoirs I us a slow retrieve with a twitch here and there with a darter head or weighted hook.
Early summer with an unweighted through and over the pads dropping into holes.
Fall in the backs of creeks ripping it like a jerkbait.

Rod is a Dobyns Sierra 734c with a Daiwa Tatula svtw with 12# P-line Flouroclear.

Hope this helps
