Welcome aboard Robert! We are glad to have you. I was wondering... how many participants do you usually have at each tournament?

This is only my second year and I am still in the building process so participation is still kinda slow. I had 5 anglers at my last 2 tournaments and expect one or two more for the next one. It's a building process but I'll get more anglers soon I hope.

It is definately a building process, but hang in there and advertise and you will build a good membership. Kudos for taking on the challange....

Robert,
both Mike and I know that it can be a challenge but if you are passionate about fishing and about your folks you can make a go of it. The offer still stands for a board if you decide to get together with your members. It will take time but once word gets out about the events the members will come out of the wood work. It usually takes a season and then by word of mouth you as the director get a good reputation for being fair and honest that is when you will see an increase of members ;) Good Luck!!

An not to beat you up over it but if you post all your events, standings and tournament reports on the forum folks will see it. We get a ton of visitors from Texas (just wish more would post fishing reports or sign in and post in Dock Talk). Anyway something to think about.

I'm coming Ya'lls Direction this weekend. Decided that since ABA is going to hold their National Championship on the Red River that it might be nice to see what the water was like so I am fishing the D048 Tournament this saturday... Headed your way friday morning and hoping that I can catch a fish so I don't embaress the good ole Lone Star State.

Fishing is tough there right now the water is very muddy in the river. Check out the Louisiana fishing board and you will find several reports a long with a few folks that would be willing to answer a question or two.
