Catching my new PB got me thinkin about my old PB. Found this pic from 1999, 39 years old and definitely a few pounds lighter. This bass was 6 lbs even, we were float tubing the San Diego River in the fall. Used to use a lot of sluggos back then, but I caught this one on a jig.

Ahh youth...anyone else have some cool photos from their younger daze?

Cool pic. I would have to look for some in a shoebox as digital cameras were not around yet.

March 27, 1997. 7 lb 8 oz.,  still my PB, and that's okay.
Caught in Lacassine Reserve, Hayes, LA.
Was a late afternoon gift after fishing since sun-up with very limited results. Wind must have been 20mph all day.
The setup was a Zoom Pumpkinseed lizard tied to 10 lb test mono on a Abu Garcia 3500C reel mounted on a BPS Bionic Blade rod (much lighter tackle than I should have been using. I'm kinda proud of my youthful inexperience).

Pacific NW Ron

This ain't no bass but I was pretty proud of this 16lb Spring Chinook.  I caught this one out of the Cowlitz river on my first trip out with my new river jet boat on May 4, 1976.  I was proud of the fish and the boat.
At that time I did more salmon and steelhead fishing then bass fishing.  I was a river guide for 5 years.  Paid for a new truck and new boat.

Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Ron them river salmon and steelheads are a blast to catch.

Pics from the '70's rule.
The ball caps from back then were great.
Great fish there!

That's a picture of my old man having a rest while taking the five of us boys fishing. That would be about 1968. That man was brave!!! He taught us all how to fish though!!!
