Legend depth finder question

Well I finally got the rig I've been wanting for a few years, a 2007 Alpha 199. Not new, but new to me & super clean

However, I have a question that I know someone here can answer for me.

I have a 9" Lowrance HDS that I need to mount at my console, but can not figure out how or where to put a ram mount  for it. I don't want to block the view of my gauges.

Can someone post up a pic or two of how they have mounted theirs to give me some ideas

I just use a ram mount on the side. Notice we had to use a wedge, it can also be purchase from RAM Mounts.

Thanks Mike, that's what I was looking for.

The guy I bought the boat from gave me a NIB Lowrance HDS 9" GEN 2 & a new Ram Mount, but the mount is huge and I see no way of mounting the thing. After looking at Ram website I figured the best option was the vertical mount, but didn't see the wedge.

I will go back & find the wedge too and get them ordered up.

Mike, I can't seem to find the wedge. It is a Ram Mount brand product ?

To be honest I just assumed it was. Legend factory had it and put it on for me. Let me try and find out. I didn't notice a name on it but didn't look either...

If you find out something that would be great, but don't go out of your way.
I can get with Legend dealer in Jasper and see what they can tell me next weekend when I pass by there.

I can't find any identifying marks so let me do some research.

I see why he didn't have it mounted up yet now though, the mount he bought wouldn't have worked to easily. Its the large 2.25" D-mount with the 3.65 base.... I have no idea where he was planning on putting it when he ordered it...lol

Do you have a unit in the dash? If not, that's an option.
The Alphas have more room than the LE's. My LE-21 will only hold up to a 7 inch. The new V series will accommodate a 12 inch screen.

Russ199A, I have a unit in the dash, but don't think I have enough room for a 9" where that unit is.
I will have to take a look at it again, but I think a 7" unit is about as big as I could possibly put in console (and not sure about that).

My 199 had a ball type ram mount located similar to Mike's. My LE has it mounted to the top cap.
