Console light replacement

Has anyone replaced the small little console light (on left of console) with an LED light? If so, what was the part #?

Take the bulb to an auto parts place and see if you can match it up with what you want, that take care of your problem. Let us know how you make out. LEDs are much better than regular bulbs, worth the extra cost.

I did quite a while back. Like Rodney suggested, they can be matched up at the autoparts store. At the time I ordered mine they weren't easy to find in stores and I ordered from an online place in China. I took a chance and ordered based on dimensions and voltage and lucked out.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the pivoting cover on the light fixture in order to replace the bulb?     I can get the left side to release but the right seems to be fixed.

I'd have go look at mine but the boat is covered for the winter so it'll be another month, you might have to "Google" it.

I know this is an old post but I was fooling around with this light and noticed that you unscrew the outer bezel ring and a small screwdriver opens up the lense........Is there an option for a led bulb out there? Is says 12 volt 5 watt max bulb. Or better yet......is there a better light to fill the hole with? Swap it out?
