I just picked up a spool of 20lb. Seaguar Red Label at Wal-Mart on clearance for $3...is this line suitable for jigs, spinnerbaits, senkos etc.?

Good luck with that line. You gonna have a helluva time with the memory and stiffness. Make sure to soak with some line conditioner.  lo
My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

jigs & senko's yes, since it's dense & will sink.

LMG is right there is a bit of a memory issues with it but, once you've fished with it for a few minutes it will straighten out. Besides for $3 you should have bought every box they had. lol

LMG is right about the memory. I use the 6 and 8lb on my spinning rigs because I go through a lot of it and the memory isn't as bad on the lighter line. For my baitcasters that I spool with fluorocarbon, I use 15lb Seaguar Tatsu. Awesome line with little memory. It's a bit pricey.

Better for spinnerbaits cranks because of the memory but as been said spray it down and keep a full spool and it will be fine. I use the KVD spray and love it for this line

I DID buy every box...of course they just had the 1 box  :). I don't know if I'll use it though if it's going to require extra attention just to make it manageable.

I use red label for all my flouro needs with a baitcaster. I have 20lb spooled up for my jig rod. I use Invisx for my spinning rods. I have had no problems with the line and have been using it for around 3 years now. To me the memory is not as bad as some cheap mono like big game. I don't use line conditioner either.

I'm with Steve76. I use Red Label all the time and really like it. I would of brought every single spool that I could find for $3. I will check my local Walmarts to see if there are any left.

I like using Seaguar Red Label 20lb line when fishing T-Rigged soft plastics, Wacky rig fishing, Shaky Head fishing and jig fishing.  I only use the stuff when fishing tournaments.

Am like cbburke--use FC for leaders on my braid only so memory is not an issue and am happy with Red Label's abrasion resistance so good deal at $3 a spool--my Wal-Mart did not have any reduced or I would bought them up too!

Just about every fluoro, copoly and mono out there will require extra attention on your baitcasters. If you are worried about that then braid is the only way to go. Now there are some lines that require a little less attention. Either way best thing to do is get yourself some KVD Line Conditioner. Spray the spool down before you leave the house to go fishing. Or the night before.
It will help big time.
I use red label as a leader for my hooks when fishing saltwater. It's good line, I haul fish up a bridge on 15lb without issue.
