Backing up what LMG said - The Curado is a great casting reel for heavier baits. But since most jerkbaits are a little big lighter by nature, you'll want the lighter spool on the Scorpion MGL. I spent a day this spring on Erie with Zippy throwing jerkbaits on a windy day and my Scorpion MGL handled the job like a pro. I think I even talked about it in this thread at some point.
